Thank you, Shi. I know you've been reading this fic from the beginning, and it's much appreciated.
I find Yuuto is a surprisingly difficult character for many people to write, for someone who gets little in the way of page time or development in the manga. It's easy to write him off as a shallow playboy from what we're given- not that that's not part of who he is, key word being part- and leave it at that. But if that were the case, what reason would he have to join a group such as the Dragons of Earth? It's also easy to read more into him than is honestly there, and turn him into something he isn't. Too easy to fall for his smile and charm and his soothing, pleasant answers and assume a kindness and depth that isn't there either- the man is still helping to destroy humanity, and he knows it. I tried to walk the line between the two and write a Yuuto that was neither trite nor, well, not Yuuto.
It explains why there are so many misconceptions about him, as well- people want to believe he is one thing or another, because they see themselves in him.
