Actually, what he learned about his older son's (sexual) preference might have been more important to him.

Actually, I dislike the parallels in that, but the likeness was just too much to ignore it. And no, the End of World business has nothing to do with Seishiro's paternal family showing up (only that they learned about his existence). Subaru's on the other hand...
