Which brings me to my point that anime/manga men aren't actually *men*, but ... something else. I can't tell what. Since I didn't say it on my blog, ALEX-NEECHAMA! WE LOVE YOU! XD You rock! I liked the Clover one, as well as the DNAngel! XD *happy purr* It's gooooood. XD And the Clover one is /really/ very good, although since May-chan can testify that I read practically everything, that doesn't count for very much. ^^;;; I think it's very well written, for what it's worth.

Aine-chan, sankyuu~! They're puuuurty... and I'm a fan of Nuriko/Tasuki actually. XD That looks /really/ purty, and I agree with you. Very graceful. :DDD The other manga that I have isn't as nicely drawn as Hanakimi, or those two manga. ^^;; But still good.

I bought the Kaori Yuki manga, and it isn't based on Sleeping Beauty, it's based more on Hansel and Gretel. Sadly, I don't think it's really good. ^^;;; The art isn't really nice, especially compared to Angel Sanc, but the plot isn't too bad, for the first story in there. That's the main one, the fairytale-based story. Not bad, but still... :P I lent it to May-chan, so Aine-chan, take a look before you buy it for yourself. ^^;;; Kagerou 3 is also with her.

I bought yaoi manga today, and it looked really innocent-type art... Until I flipped through it. -_-;;; It's explicit yaoi. A bit like Wild Fish in that way, which I also have, but instead of blanking it out with white, they blank it out with black, so there are a few black panels in some parts of the book. -_-;;;;

It's pretty good though. And I finally found this manga I've been looking for for AGES! XD About a fox youkai and a human. Nice... Yaoi-ish, and cool. XD I bought book 1 of Fruits Basket, which May-chan read and started laughing at. :P That's distracting, when you're reading something like Kaori Yuki.

Have you read the Clover snip Alexandra did? BTW, I loved the piece. ^^;; Too bad my brain's frazzled from reading. (I'm intentionally not studying ObligatoryBio and reading this book. "Soul Mountain" ring any bells? It won some Nobel prize or something.)

On Clover:

It's the only thing by Clamp (up till now) I'm really into. Not that they aren't gods of twodimensional beautiful people, but their plot rarely gets me. Sure, everything is pretty and sad as hell, but at the end of the day, I'm left going "So?" like some cynical nihilist.

Clover still has pretty pretty pretty stamped all over it but there's something about it that keeps me from tossing the book aside after I've read it, even if it's for the sixth time. The fact that I paid almost ten bucks for each book prolly has something to do with that too, but anyway.

Gah. I think there's some deeper meaning behind the theme of Clover that I can't force my own interpretation on. (Yay for Clamp revenue) Plus I think Oruha's hot. So's Gingetsu. So's Kazuhiko. And Lan isn't your conventional feminized uke uke, which makes him fascinating as a character. (And now I'm left wondering why I'm trying to interpret the unfathomable workings of the Clamp brain)
